Lumberjack's Dynasty Mill Product Tier List
Dry planks pay the loan. Wet logs pay for fuel. Furniture pays after the mill already works.
The mill in Lumberjack’s Dynasty is a delayed shop. You drop wood in, wait about ten in-game days, and sell a pallet. Players skip the wait and then say logging is poor. This list ranks outputs, not vibes. Use it with mill profits and make money. Species ranks sit on the tree tier list.
S tier
Dry oak plank pallets — Community boards around 360 per pallet. Best common mill SKU. The reason to own oak land.
Dry birch plank pallets — Around 330. Almost oak. Easier to source in some valleys of the map.
Anything a quest pays as a lump sum after you already own the mill — Not a SKU, still S. The post-loan build jobs can drop around 200,000 Euro. Those jobs need a working plank pipeline, not a factory rush.
A tier
Dry pine plank pallets — Around 210. Keep the dryer busy. Do not build your identity on them.
Cooked dishes from shop ingredients — Not mill products, but they occupy the same “what do I sell today” slot. A-tier cash during dry waits. Full loop on cooking.
Bark as a side stream — German community tables have listed birch, oak, spruce, and pine bark in a roughly 8–15 Euro band. A if you already have the Fliegl or a bark trailer. C if you drive empty on purpose for bark.
B tier
Chipboard / wood chips — Mill extras. Fine when the switch is set and the silo is not confused (a bug the Ponsse patch tried to fix; see updates). Not a plan.
Wet logs sold immediately — Emergency fuel money. B because sometimes you must. C if it is your default.
Blanks vs logs at the sawmill switch — After you repair the mill, the switch is the difference between a product and a pile. Using it at all is B+ behaviour. Leaving it on the wrong setting for a week is a silent C.
C tier
Furniture without a plank surplus — The factory is an achievement (Furniture creator) and a late SKU. Buying it before the uncle loan, or before dry planks exist, is how A-tier wood becomes C-tier time. Pay the loan, then factory.
Illegal logs — Negative product. Fines exceed value. Logging again.
Honey dishes before hives — Cooking trap. Skip until you harvest.
Mill board habits
Read the board every cycle. Early Access shuffled prices; 1.0 is calmer but not frozen. If oak is suddenly close to pine, sell what the board wants that week and plant oak anyway for the next.
Forklift pallets onto a platform truck or the mill sale point. Hand-sliding pallets is the log-carrying mistake in a new hat. A High Capacity Forklift is cheap on the vehicle tier list.
Do not sleep ten days in a row to “catch” a dry cycle. That deletes cooking and repair income. One sleep, one shop run, one compliment if you are dating, then check the dryer.
Capacity and bottlenecks
If pallets pile up, you need sales or storage, not another Scorpion. If the dryer is empty, you need logging volume. If the dryer is full of pine, you need better land, not a faster saw. Match the product rank to the bottleneck or the vehicle spend is cosplay.
Achievements that sneak in here
Mill worker (100 plank pallets), Furniture creator (own the factory), Rich man (1,000,000 Euro), Landlord (own farm and mill). Pallet count loves S-tier oak. Rich man loves not buying Cobra twice.
When the board makes no sense, walk the mill with Engineer’s Sight. Dryness on planks is a Sight thing, same as cracks on a barn. If icons vanish on console, console release is the grim sibling of this list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Should I ever sell wet logs?
Only for emergency fuel. Dry planks are the product. Ten in-game days is the tax.
Where do furniture profits sit?
After the uncle loan and a plank surplus. Factory-first is a time trap; see make money.
Are bark and chips worth a dedicated trailer?
Yes if you already mill at scale. No as your first 18,000 Euro spend. Crane trailer still wins.
Why is pine C or B here but I own a pine forest?
Pine is B as a product and B as a tree. It feeds the dryer. It should not be your only SKU. Mix in oak or birch from the tree tier list.
