Farm, Bees, and Animals in Lumberjack's Dynasty

Repair the camp, pick apples, delay the hives, then fold eggs and honey into the cooking loop.

Farm, Bees, and Animals

The farm is the other half of Lumberjack’s Dynasty when the mill is drying. It is not Farmer’s Dynasty with a chainsaw glued on. Buildings start broken, animals wait on Chapter II, and honey is slow on purpose. This page is the homestead loop: repairs, orchard, greenhouse, bees, chickens, cows, sheep, and the cat. Cooking recipes live on cooking. Repair order lives on Getting Started. The video above is a farm-building repair session — Sight every nail-gun node before you buy a hive.

Repair first, livestock later

Farm builder wants every farm building repaired. Engineer’s Sight paints the nodes. Circle roofs, tanks, and the backs of sheds. Auntie’s morning list is the spine: workshop, barn, house. The video is that work, not a livestock tutorial. Do not skip it to place bees. A broken barn with pretty hives is still a broken barn.

Animals unlock in a meaningful way after you are a business partner with aunt and uncle (Chapter II), not on the arrival cutscene. Buy livestock when you can feed it. Hungry cows were a real bug: Revision Part 1 (February 2022) made fed cows give milk again. If your 1.0 cows are dry, check the trough before you reload. Patch history.

Bees and honey

Bees are livestock that do not eat. Community notes (including the German homestead pages) describe four hive spots on the farm. Each hive is about 250 Euro plus 250 Social Points. Sight shows a green outline on the buy nodes. Bees visibly work the box if you look.

Honey is not daily like eggs. Three to five in-game days per jar is the usual window. Flowers planted around the hive shorten the wait (furniture-update notes also promised extra Social Points from flowered hives). Walk the boxes every morning and again at dusk. Some players report two harvests in a day; do not budget that.

Do not buy four hives on day one. Cooking guides are blunt: wait until the kitchen can use honey and you are not spending the chainsaw budget. Honey dishes and the honey cookbook want jars. Until then, skip honey recipes. The Cook path still works on eggs, fish, and mushrooms.

Chickens, cows, sheep, cat

  • Chickens. The honest Animal breeder route is over 20 animals — twenty hens, eggs every morning, almost no upkeep, boiled-egg cash. A rooster handles overflow chicks. Build or repair the hen house (not a multiplayer lobby) before you max the flock.
  • Cows. Milk for the stove. Feed them. One day’s milking in a filmed session landed near 719 Euro a head at one merchant — merchants pay different prices, so shop around. Cows are a side SKU, not a Ponsse.
  • Sheep. They wander. Shear when the wool is up. Quest sheep (Mary’s Tinkerbell) are story, not a flock plan.
  • Cat. Costs fish, keeps rats out of stores. Pair with fishing. Optional, charming, not a mill.

Do not start a zoo before the mill switch works. Animal breeder is a trophy and a grocery source. It is not make money by itself.

Orchard, greenhouse, flowers

Three apple sections on the farm. Pick them on day one and every respawn. Community notes put 120–160 apples on a full sweep. Jam the overflow, horde a stack for the kitchen. This is the closest thing to free Euro besides bushes.

Repair the greenhouse early. Pumpkins first if you have seeds; they feed Lowlander-style mushroom dishes. Chilies and other vegetables fill leftover plots. Growth timers are fuzzy across builds — plant and check, do not wait on a wiki clock.

Flowers want a rake, shovel, watering can, and seeds. They buff hives and they are a garden chore. Pick them before the end of September in community calendars. Beloved (1,000,000 Social Points) is often paired with flower planting in French notes; still, legal cuts and help quests are the real SP engine.

A morning that does not steal the mill

  1. Eggs, milk, hive check, apples.
  2. Greenhouse glance.
  3. Shop buyout for the stove (cooking).
  4. Cut a legal stand or haul to the dryer (logging, forests).
  5. Sleep once.

If the morning takes three hours of real time, you built too many chores. Sell a hobby. The chainsaw is the business. The farm is the buffer that makes ten dry days feel like a life sim instead of a loading screen.

What this page will not do

No fake 2026 animal DLC. No Steam Deck husbandry. No “instant honey” trainer. Saves still live under %APPDATA%\LumberjacksDynasty\Save. Official extra PDFs sit in the Digital Supporter Pack on official links and do not add cows.

Repair the camp. Delay the hives. Fold eggs into the stove. Then go buy birch you can actually haul.
