Lumberjack's Dynasty Pinewood Valley Map Guide

Pinewood Valley is the whole job. The map is first-person plus a 2D overlay with vehicle icons, quest markers, and (if you own it) a supporter-pack poster. This page is orientation, not a pin dump that dies after a terrain patch. Use it with logging before you buy a stand, and with fishing for the rare rings.

The Digital Supporter Pack’s world map is art, not a live GPS. In-game, open the map and click a truck icon to tow. Staring at empty grass is not the recovery menu. That trick is on controls.

The spine of the valley

Home camp — aunt, uncle, workshop, barn, greenhouse, orchard, later family house. Everything in Getting Started starts here.

Lumber mill and sawmill — your dryer, the log pond, the switch between logs and blanks. South-east water near carp spot 1 on the fishing page. Forklift pallets here. Mill profits is the number closet.

Jack’s General Store — groceries for the cooking circuit, a landmark for perch and carp rings south of it.

Furniture factory and furniture store — late buildings from the 2020 furniture update, still in 1.0. Factory is an achievement and a SKU, not day-one. Store is where patterns and pieces sell. North-of-factory water holds a carp ring.

Hotel — repair job, food reward, perch water nearby, map centre.

Ski-resort / western vehicle store — July 2021 added the Lebrino 7 tractor here. The western lot also gained Formica Flavius Timberjack and Forwarder. The older north-east and south-west dealers from community tables still split Ponsse stock (Cobra often NE, Bison SW, Scorpion both). Drive both lots before you assume a machine is gone. Vehicles has roles; the vehicle tier list has prices.

Northern bridge — carp under it, Chef of Chests / Chef of Chefs quest nearby. Watch the bank; swimming can trap a save.

Buying your first forest and reading what the listing actually grows

Land listings

The video above is a first-forest buy: species on the plaque, yellow line after purchase, fines outside it. Oak and birch first. Pine is volume. The tree tier list is the shopping filter. Forester / Master forester are 5 / 25 owned forests.

Do not buy land in week one. A pretty 0.05 ha strip with no road is a hand-carry tax. After Isaac’s trailer exists, scout with Sight, check entry for a crane, then pay. After a clear, grind and plant or the parcel is a brown hole. Logan’s Dirty Matters (Chapter 3) is a forced plant of 50 trees in a tight NE plot — save first, plant dense.

What the map will not tell you

Yellow harvest borders and red trunks only show in Engineer’s Sight in the world, not as a pretty overlay colour-blind people can ignore. Timberjacks after Revision Part 1 (February 2022) can see tree stats and forest borders while driving. That patch also fixed a 0.5 m terrain drop when loading a save on the map edge.

Quest markers lie when a port is sick. If the mill marker points at you while you stand in the mill, it is a bug, not a secret room. Console release and patch history are the grim index.

A practical drive order

Morning: camp → mill (start dryer) → Jack’s (eggs, pumpkins) → a legal stand you already own → mill. Afternoon: NE or SW dealer only if you have SP and a shopping list. Evening: one rare fishing ring or a compliment stop, then stove. That loop is the map as a timetable. The valley is large enough to waste a day on scenery. Do not.

When you are lost, find water, then the mill pond, then home. The supporter PDF map helps the first week. After that, icons and Sight beat a poster.
