Tier List

Lumberjack's Dynasty Tier Lists

Machines, forests, and mill products ranked for a 1.0 save, not for a battle-pass meta.

Tier List Hub

Lumberjack’s Dynasty has no PvP ladder. A tier list still helps because the dealer hides stats and the mill hides which pallet is worth the dry time. This hub splits three lists so they can contradict each other honestly: a S-tier harvester is useless if you only own pine, and S-tier oak is useless if you still hand-carry logs.

How to read these ranks

Ranks assume a single-player 1.0 PC save after the uncle tutorial. Console ports share the same items with more bugs; see console release. Prices are community tables from the 1.01 era and the Ponsse update. If your plaque disagrees, trust the plaque.

  • S — buy or target as soon as you can use it.
  • A — strong, situational, still worth SP.
  • B — fine, not a priority.
  • C — toys, leftovers, or traps for new saves.

Social Point discounts (half Euro + full SP) apply to dealer machines. Quest junk is unranked as a purchase because it is free; it is still S-tier to own.

The three lists

Suggested shopping order

  1. Quest tractor and crane trailer from Getting Started.
  2. Better saw, then a real crane trailer (A/S on the vehicle list).
  3. Stump grinder and planter (cheap A).
  4. Forests that list oak or birch (S/A on the tree list).
  5. Dry plank pipeline (S on the product list).
  6. Timberjack, then Ponsse when the mill can swallow the volume.

If you invert that order you will own a Cobra and sell wet pine. That is a C-tier save with S-tier debt.

What a tier list cannot do

It cannot tell you which NPC to marry. It cannot patch a sunk trailer. It cannot make Steam Deck work (unsupported). For those, use marriage, the tow command on vehicles, and system requirements.

It also cannot replace Engineer’s Sight. An S-tier oak stand still fines you if you step over the yellow line. Rank the tree, then cut it legally.

Money context lives on make money. Controls for cranes and the saw bar live on controls. Patch history that added Ponsse lives on version 1.0 and the updates hub.

Read the child pages next. The hub is only the index so the header dropdown has a home.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are these PvP tiers?

No. They rank spend and mill value for a single-player save. There is no competitive mode.

Why is pine ranked below oak?

Dry oak pallets pay more. Pine is volume. Details are on the tree tier list and product tier list.

Should I buy a Ponsse before a crane trailer?

No. Trailer first. The vehicle tier list puts quest loaders and crane trailers above late harvesters for new saves.

Do patches change ranks?

Prices moved in Early Access. 1.0 plus the Ponsse update is the snapshot. Always read the live dealer plaque.
